Boutique Weddings @ OMAKA LODGE

Offering a unique combination of a beautiful residence, several accommodation options, large grounds and extensive mature gardens with wonderful countryside views, Omaka Lodge is an outstanding venue for boutique weddings of up to 70 people. Whether you simply want to visit us to exchange your vows, to use our stunning gardens for your wedding photos, or to hold the entire event here, we can work with you to ensure your special day is one to remember.

Your hosts Chris & Scott can guide you through many of the details – Chris has had many years’ experience in wedding planning, and Scott is a wedding celebrant. Being a same-sex couple, Scott & Chris are also delighted to welcome same-sex couples who wish to marry at Omaka Lodge. See below for more details on how we can assist you on your big day.

  • Venue – our pricing is for venue hire, including full use of our gardens. We have a selection of packages available, ranging from 3 hours to 48 hours. All packages can be customised by negotiation.
  • Suppliers – As well as supplying you a wonderful venue, we can also recommend some great suppliers – and even take care of your arrangements with them if required. We’re happy to work with your suppliers too if preferred.
  • Accommodation – Should you and some of your guests wish to stay, we have a selection of on-site accommodation options available. We have four bed & breakfast rooms, not to mention our luxury self-contained bridal suite, The Ruapehu Suite. For those who prefer an outdoors ambience, we also have three campervan sites.

As we are a boutique venue, we prefer you to visit us to discuss your individual requirements for your special day. To arrange your visit to meet us, please contact us.

Whatever your ideas for your dream day may be, we’d love to welcome you to discuss your wedding ideas further at Omaka Lodge, a tranquil oasis amidst New Zealand’s Forgotten World.
